New Boarding Process - Group PRI (ority) = F+100K
Just boarded a flight departing SFO and the boarding screen looked well different.
It officially listed 100k as preboarding with First (did I miss an announcement on that?)
And it had group F. Gate agent gave the usual bags from group D and E will be pulled speech but didnt mention group F.
Anyone know anything about the changes?

Nice, glad they updated it as it wasnt always called out in my experience and it was confusing as the boarding passes still said Group A.
Last week in BOS the gate agent reminded everyone before calling for each group that one side is for AS status holders and the other is for general boarding which I thought was helpful, so fingers crossed that is something thats also being added into the boarding process going forward across the network.

Same. Mine says Priority as well for todays flight. This......is something they could have announced at the Flyer Forum. Instead..I predict mass chaos for the Holiday travel season.

First pass on a 10 AM flight still says First Class and the second says PRI.

So they are now boarding by seat, first the A, then the B, then the C seats and so on?

History is being made!
I think the sign at EWR from a distance when I boarded this morning looked like the JFK, but my boarding pass says First. Ill check for the next flight.

I printed my boarding pass at LAX kiosk, which displayed "PRI", but my mobile boarding pass still showed "first class". And when I reached the gate, I only saw "PRI/A/B/C/D/E", didn't see F.

Seems to align with AA as well, where top tier (EXP) board with First Class.

Checked in today for a flight tomorrow, and have PRI as my group. Curious to see if the screens at MCO have been updated, they typically don't show airline specific stuff like this.

Just checked in for my flight tomorrow. #2 on the upgrade list so I'm still in main cabin, boarding pass also shows "PRI"
Really happy that Alaska was able to implement a change like this relatively quickly (for an airline at least). Agree with rune87 above, why didn't they announce this at their Flyer Forum a few days ago? This is actually something impactful to us 100Ks
One interesting thought that came to mind is that the new lettering system reminds me a bit of American Airlines -- they have like what, Groups 1 to 9? With the new lettering system, PRI + A to F means Alaska will have 7 groups. A bit excessive IMO

Gotta make room for ugly sweater early boarding, Kraken jersey wearing fan early boarding, etc.

I see it now. F on the apps BP, PRI on paper.
